Privacy Policy

Unibud · Last updated 21 September 2026

Unibud does not collect anything. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Everything you put into the app stays in a database on your device, and the app makes no network requests at all.

What we collect

Nothing. Unibud has no sign-up, no login and no user profile. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data, usage data, device identifiers, location, contacts or advertising identifiers.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter — subjects, class times, deadlines, tasks, documents you attach and the chapter names you give them — is written to a SQLite database in Unibud's private storage on your device.

Documents you attach are copied into that private storage so the app can still open them if the original moves. Those copies are also only on your device.

None of it is uploaded, backed up to us, or readable by us. We have no servers, so there is nowhere for it to go.

If your device backs itself up (iCloud Backup or Android's backup service), app data may be included in that backup. That is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, not by us.

Permissions

Unibud asks for two things, and only when you use the feature that needs it.

Notifications — so it can send the daily check-in and remind you before a deadline. These are local notifications, scheduled by the app on your device. There is no push server and nothing is sent anywhere. Declining simply means no reminders; the rest of the app works normally.

Files — when you attach a document, the system file picker opens. Unibud only receives the specific file you choose. It cannot browse your storage.

Third parties

There are none. Unibud contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service and no social login. No third party receives data from this app because the app does not send data.

Apple and Google collect their own information about app downloads and, if you have opted into sharing them, crash reports. That happens at the store and operating-system level and is governed by their policies.

Children

Unibud is rated for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to obtain parental consent for.

Keeping or deleting your data

Your data lives on your device, so you control it. Deleting a subject removes its documents, chapters, tasks and deadlines with it. Deleting the app removes the database and every attached document copy permanently.

We cannot delete your data for you, because we never have it. For the same reason we cannot recover it if you delete the app, and there is no export or restore.

Changes

If the app ever starts handling data differently — for example by adding optional sync — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
